The Suns joined the league in 1968, and the sunburst logo, orange and purple rays fanning out, has stuck around in one form or another since the early years. It’s the design most fans think of first, though the current look has moved toward a more streamlined “PHX” mark for a cleaner, modern feel.

Between the two, there’s a phoenix suns iron on patch option for people after either era, the classic sunburst for a retro look or the current wordmark for something simpler and more current. Orange and purple carry through both versions, one of the more distinctive color combinations in the league.

Every patch here is embroidered instead of printed, so fine detail like the sunburst’s rays or the PHX lettering holds its shape through repeated washing instead of fading or cracking.
